The 1st Time I Wrote
Dear Business Person;

I am writing to you today because I think it is only fair that I inform you that beginning today, I will no longer be purchasing your products.  I thought I would give you the courtesy of knowing why.

Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press are in danger in America, and it's a disturbing trend.  I, like many other Americans, find myself wondering why my elected officials have not enforced the law in regard to the 2000 elections.

Equally disturbing is the fact that people like myself are arrested and harrassed all over the country when they ask legitimate questions about events in this country, they're called unpatriotic by our leaders and the media,  and we're left to wonder why there so few leaders who even attempt to disclose the truth.. and every time they do, they are subjected to organized character assassination, constant public ridicule, lies and slander... and when they try to defend themselves, they are accused of being just plain wacky.  And most often, these people who have endured this kind of attack have been telling the truth.

I firmly believe that this sort of behavior, and misuse of the public airwaves for the purpose of propagandization for political purposes is despicable. And I believe that NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC have provided the best worst example of this kind of abuse.   People look to the press for the truth.  The press has a responsibility they have not met.

Since profits from my purchases of your products go to support your advertising campaigns, that means I'm paying for your advertisements, the ones playing on those stations.  That means that I'm paying to support something I can not support.   So I will no longer do so.

I urge you to absorb your initial annoyance and amusement with this form of political action.  Blame an unresponsive government for its necessity. As an American citizen, not just a business person, I request that you search your own conscience, and take appropriate actions to defend your right to free speech, as well as being able to have confidence in the information we are provided on the most powerful medium on the planet.

None of us likes having to face corruption... to believe that we have been misled or betrayed.  That's the denial that's overcome America.  It's time for the denial to end.

I urge you to go to www.democraticfundamentalism.org where you'll find more detail on the BOYCOTT, as well as something on the site called The Verdict.  It's hard to miss.

Sincerely,

Chuck Rehn

Follow-Up Letter
Dear Business Person;

I've written to you before about this matter, but I thought it was time to remind you that I am continuing to boycott your products so long as you are an advertiser on MNSBC, NBC News and CNBC.

I have no specific complaint against your company.  However, I am unwilling to pay money for products that allow these stations to profit from yellow journalism, in the form of advertising.

I request that you search your own conscience, and take appropriate actions to defend your right to free speech, as well as being able to have confidence in the information we are provided when you consider the issues that concern me.

If  you have not done so already, I urge you to go to www.democraticfundamentalism.org where you'll find more detail on the BOYCOTT, as well as something on the site called The Verdict.  It's hard to miss.

Sincerely,

Chuck Rehn
