reports of propaganda you notice! DATELINE: MSNBC, March 11, 2002 They went on to state that the government, however, reserves the right to alter objectionable sections, rewrite letters excluding objectionable content, or not send the letters at all at their discretion. Conclusion: If we give 'em paper and let them write whatever they want, that's not censorship. The real question is, given that no one in their right mind would be against suppressing their letters if it threatened national security... Why did they need to make an announcement about it? I can't imagine anyone believing that what they describe is anything other than censorship. Another episode of TimeWill Tell, perhaps. Maybe it was a trick to get the detainees to provide them with addresses of associates... but still, why the announcement.
